Research Manager

Ergo provides in-depth analysis and research on a nearly limitless set of topics. We focus not on particular areas but rather on a research methodology in which we constantly interface with world class experts on the topic at hand. Our clients are large institutional investors (private and public equity) corporations, corporate consulting firms, and NGOs.

This is a demanding position in which you will work with clients to better understand their pressing questions and then help lead the team which discovers the answers. Work at Ergo is exciting and challenging and offers the opportunity to work with the world's finest minds on a wide range of issues related to international affairs, global finance, and other aspects of business.

This position calls for a dedicated and talented individual of the very highest caliber.

We seek candidates with either work experience or educational background in these areas:

• Top-tier management consulting,
• International relations / foreign policy / diplomacy,
• International cross-border business,
• International risk consulting or analysis,
• Global-macro investing or analysis.

Candidates must have:

• Absolute integrity
• A desire to work hard in a rewarding atmosphere
• A personal and work history that shows honesty, discipline, initiative, creativity, and a very strong intellect,
• A proven capacity to research, write and present complex material,
• The ability to work well with a team,
• Fluency in at least one language other than English (Chinese, Arabic or French are highly relevant),
• Solid facility with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Ideal Candidates will have all the above plus:

• Fluency in Chinese, Arabic, French or Russian,
• Real work history satisfying demanding, highest-level clients,
• (Expertise with HTML, web design or Adobe Illustrator are a bonus.)
